MJ mix 2

For this second song i chose to add vocals which do actually sound quite similar to the king of pop himself. And it fits beautifully which is why i can honestly see MJ creating something along the same lines.

Ive chosen another piano to lead the main melody adding echo onto it as well. This was purely because it sounded mint when recording. I also added a choir to fill it out bait more with some chords which Micheal did for many of his songs (adding vocals for chords).
I also used the marble affect to which created a individual noise that fits in in certain places. This is because Micheal jackson did also do that in some songs in the album which was to maybe add in some noises that may have been from the music video that was created around the track.

Again when trying to make a song thats genre was based years ago, i kept struggling trying not to add in, perhaps a wobble bass which is used for current dub step or an 808 bass drum that just adds that funky vibe. These things Micheal would have never used, but i lacked a real kick in the song and i needed something to boost it so therefore i added a 'Trunk Shaker' which brings an enormous amount of base to the composition.

When listening to the full album i noticed at points that there would be a change in the main lead. So for my song i slightly switched up the strings ensemble to experiment and it did sound pretty good around the knew synths that i was experimenting with and the song itself

MJ mix 1

The two tracks I have decided to create have been based on the artist Michael Jackson and his album bad.  Although the two tracks have been based on the same thing and same person they are spectacularly different if I do say so myself.

The first of the two was an up beat trap/R&B instrumental which included A wide variety of instruments being the steinway piano with reverb, some synths and some personal creations.  When doing my research on Michael Jackson and his album bad I stumbled across a Bangel being 'Thriller' This song can also relate to mine  because of the atmosphere is set by Michael Jackson. He made one song plus a music video literally scared the life out of me and although it wasn't on the album I still have the urge  to create something similar.

To achieve this I had to go on YouTube and find some samples not being instruments  But being sound affects such as a siren at the beginning which was then 10 down and silently played throughout the song to add something I need the surface as well as the reload of a gun because it sounded cold in my opinion!

The notes that I played at the beginning of the song I'm throughout on the Steinway piano didn't accend or decend in any particular Pattern but using my knowledge of semitones on tine but using my knowledge of semitones on tones I was able to make it sound similar to a lea I was able to make it sound similar to some songs.

Also the beats Matar used was created in Ultrabeat and was put in a particular order which was similar to the song you rock my world,  it's included a snare drum, a kick drum and a high hat hat and As the song progressed  clap was introduced to the mix similar to most Michael Jackson songs

Studying Michael Jackson made me notice how music has changed over the years  and creating something which could replicate it, well I found it difficult because with every beat And  bass I put down I always felt the need to make it as much in as possible
