As i was researching into the genre i am covering, I found another producers work that i found very similar to mine. LA Beats is a producer who actually produces in the UK for artists. Although his work is based on Soundcloud and i prefer mine to be put on BandCamp i feel that we have the same intentions with very similar music.
Here is how one of his tracks compares to one of mine
This track provides a catchy beginning with an army style drum pattern until an 808 Bass drum is included. Here is one of my tracks that was recently put up on Soundcloud for my audience to sway over to my BandCamp. But like LA Beat's track. The drum pattern and philosophy of the track is similar.
Looking how my Ep has turned out, there isn't much i would change. I feel that i could have tried harder to get others to promote it. I also would have liked to have 5 on Soundcloud and 5 on BandCamp rather then 4 and 5. I would have been able to have done that but i felt that it was extremely hard to get in contact with Aaron from the college and therefore i had a missing track.
Also i would have tried to mute out all bad language on:
In fact I wouldn't have included this track if i had finished one of my final colab's with Joe.
So in future i will A, take longer researching at the beginning of my project rather then later. This will help me figure out what my aim is earlier on rather then changing it midway or even further. B, I will perhaps get other people that i Know to promote my music rather then rely on my unimpressive Soundcloud!
